This is the Sunset Runner Granny Square. This one is a lot of fun and I think it would make a perfect square for a children’s blanket. The flower center has a cheerful feeling, and it lends itself to easy color variations.
Like the rest of my patterns, this pattern makes each new row in the middle of the row rather than at the corner.

Notes:
TrTr: Triple Treble Crochet – Yarn over 4 times, insert hook through both loops, (yarn over, pull through two loops,) 5 times
TrTr#tog: Triple Treble Crochet # Together – Work regular TrTr until the last 2 loops, leave them on the hook and start the next TrTr in the next st, finish stitch by pulling through all remaining loops on hook and ch1 to complete
Pattern:
Round 1: Make a Magic Circle and ch3 (does NOT count as 1st st), 12 dc in MC, then sl st to the 1st dc (12 dc)
R2: ch2 (does NOT count as 1st st), 2hdc in the same st then 2hdc in each st to the end, sl st to the 1st hdc (24hdc)
R3: ch4 (counts as 1st st), TrTr2tog over the next 2 st, ch6 *TrTr3tog over the next 3 st, ch8, TrTr3tog over the next 3 st, ch6* 3 times, TrTr3tog over the next 3 st, ch8, sl st to finishing ch in the first TrTr2tog
R4: ch5 (counts as 1st dc plus 2ch) *3dc ch2 3dc in the next 6 ch-sp, ch2, 3dc ch3 3dc ch2 in the next 8 ch-sp* 3 times, 3dc ch2 3dc in the next 6 ch-sp, ch2, 3dc ch3 2dc, st st to the 3rd ch of beginning 5 ch-sp
R5: ch3 (counts as first dc), 2dc in the next 2 ch-sp, ch2 3dc in the next 2 ch-sp twice, ch2 *3dc ch3 3dc in the next 3 ch-sp, ch2, 3dc in the next three 2 ch-sp, ch2* 3 times, 3dc ch3 3dc in the next 3 ch-sp, ch2, sl st to 3rd ch of beginning 3 ch
